It's been about eight months since the launch of Amy's Presence -a line of wigs developed by former soap opera star Amy Gibson.Gibson developed Alopecia when she was just 13 years old. Recently, Amy stopped by Fantasia Salon to meet with women and young girls to answer the questions and listen to what they would like in their wigs. Amy took a few minutes out of her visit to chat about some of the unique features of her wigs.

Do Funny Ads Sell ?

Debateable. In the 60's Alka Seltzer had some of the funniest spots ever--their classic "Try it. You'll Like it" is one of the most famous advertising lines, ever. Only problem: it didn't sell more Alka Seltzer. Not sure if the "Ironworkz" commercial will end up selling more of its product. But it's Funny. It's Friday. And maybe you'll think of it as you order dinner tonight.

It's been said it's not what you say but how you say it. Enjoy this spot from Europe. My friend Susan sent it to me saying it was it was voted the best in Europe. Not sure who did the voting but it is worth the time. I would tell you what its about but it would ruin the punchline. I will say this. I think its a public service announcement. Enjoy!

Angie gets Permanent Make UP

Angie W. has alopecia. In addition to losing all the hair on her head, she also lost all the hair on her body including her eyebrows and eyelashes. In December, Angie went through a procedure to have permanent makeup applied so she could have eyebrows and some dimension around her eyes.

Wig Story #2 Lindsay Gets Some Styling Tips

Lindsay started wearing a wig after she began chemotherapy treatments for ovarian cancer.Now that she has completed chemo, her hair is beginning to grow back. While that is great news,it creates some new styling changes for her wig. Like many women who wear wigs, Lindsay was taught how to take care of the wig herself but prefers to come to the salon to have the wig specialists wash and style her wig.
